Volumes Prepared for Shipment of Living Algal Strains:
- Agar Strains (designated with 'B'-prefix or does not have a prefix in the UTEX Number):
- Screw-cap tubes filled with 10-mL of slanted agar media are inoculated on the surface with an aliquot of the strain.
- Liquid Strains (designated with 'L'- or 'LB'-prefix in the UTEX Number):
- Approximately 15-mL aliquots of the algal strain maintained in liquid are transferred to screw-cap tubes for shipment.
