This policy was implemented on May 7, 2012.
All University of Texas at Austin Students and Researchers will still be able to receive free living algal cultures from UTEX; however, the new policy limits this number to a maximum of 10 free cultures per month. Additional strains can be purchased at our academic rate of $60.00 USD once the limit has been reached. UT students and researchers interested in receiving free living algal strains and who have not already made arrangements with us, should contact the UTEX Cutlure Collection Manager to get an account set up.
