UTEX does not guarantee a specific cell concentration/density. Our main goal is for the algal strains to arrive to you in a viable condition. From past experience, cultures shipped at a high density do not respond as well to the stresses of transit. Once an order is shipped it can experience extreme temperature fluctuations and environmental stresses that are completely out of our control. Once a viable strain is received it can be subcultured and grown out to the desired density.
