Most of our marine UTEX strains have not been tested to grow in artificial seawater due to the easy availability of natural seawater. If you do not have access to natural seawater, you can order the required complete seawater medium from UTEX as we do not sell just seawater.
You can also try growing your strain in artificial seawater, we just recommend that you retain at least one copy of your strain on the natural seawater medium.
